Terms of use and warranty
A number on this site is not a price until you sign a contract.
These are the terms for using knoxroofingpros.org, and how warranties work once a roof replacement in Dallas is actually under contract with us. Short version: the website informs, the written estimate quotes, and only the signed contract binds anybody.

When these terms apply
These terms took effect on October 1, 2026, and were last amended on October 1, 2026. They apply every time you load a page on knoxroofingpros.org, send the inquiry form or open the support chat. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, close the tab and call the office instead; a phone call is not covered by website terms.
Who you are dealing with
The site is operated by Knoxroofingpros, trading as Knox Roofing at knoxroofingpros.org. Postal address: 9659 Wendell Rd, Dallas, Texas 75243, United States. That is the office and the sheet metal shop, both. Phone 214-646-6625. Email [email protected].
Where these terms say "we" or "Knox", they mean that business. "You" means whoever is using the site, whether a homeowner, a property manager or another trade sending a fabrication drawing.
What the site does, and what it does not
The site describes the roofing we do across Dallas-Fort Worth: architectural shingle, standing seam and exposed-fastener metal, clay and concrete tile, natural slate, commercial TPO and modified bitumen, and the custom sheet metal we bend on our own brake. It lets you ask for a roof inspection, by form, by chat, or by phone.
It does not diagnose your roof. A paragraph about chimney flashing failures on the residential roofing page is about the failure we see most often in Dallas. It is not a finding about your chimney. Nobody can tell you what is wrong with a roof from a web page, and we will not try. Somebody has to climb it.
The site is not an insurance adjuster and does not give legal or claims advice. Material weights, gauges and lead times we print are typical figures from the work, not engineering for your structure.
Estimates are not binding until a signed contract
Nothing is sold on this site and nothing is paid for here. There is no cart, no checkout, no deposit button and no card field. Sending the form does not book work. It asks us to call you.
Any figure you see on the site, or that someone mentions on the phone before the roof is measured, is an estimate. It is not a binding quote. Neither is the written estimate we hand you after an inspection, on its own. It is an offer that lists what the price covers line by line, so you can compare it against somebody else's.
An inquiry becomes an order in this order and no other:
- You ask for an inspection through the contact page, the chat or a call.
- We measure the roof and look at the decking, the flashing and the ventilation.
- We send a written estimate, line by line.
- You and Knox both sign a written contract that states the scope, the price, the payment terms and the warranty.
Only step four binds either side. If an email, a chat message or this website disagrees with the signed contract, the contract wins.
How a roofing price is built
Every price is in US dollars. The inspection and the written estimate cost you nothing. Roof work is priced on a basis, not a flat sticker:
- Steep slope
- Per roofing square, 100 square feet, by material. Decking replaced per 4x8 sheet as found, listed on the estimate.
- Metal
- Per square by panel profile and gauge. Trim and flashing by the linear foot.
- Tile, slate
- Per square for new work. Salvage and color matching quoted separately. Repairs by the job.
- Low slope
- Per square of membrane system, after core cuts. Edge metal and coping by the linear foot.
- Fabrication
- By the piece or the linear foot, from a drawing or a field measure.
What changes a price after you sign: rotten decking found under the tear-off beyond the allowance in the contract, a second hidden layer of shingle, framing that turns out not to carry tile or slate, or a change you ask for. Each of those is written up as a change order with its own figure before the crew does the extra work. We do not add a line to the final invoice that you have not seen first. We do not waive or absorb an insurance deductible either, in any form; in Texas that is fraud.
What you may not do here
- Send an inquiry or chat message in somebody else's name, or for a property you have no business with.
- Flood the form or the chat with automated submissions, or try to get around the anti-spam checks.
- Probe, scan or try to reach parts of the server that are not linked from a public page.
- Copy our photographs or specification text to advertise another contractor's work.
- Post threats, abuse or anything unlawful into the chat. The office reads every message, and they are people.
Who owns the words and pictures
The text, the photographs of our crews and jobs, the Knox Roofing name, the logo and the layout of this site belong to Knoxroofingpros. You may read, print and share a link to any page. You may quote a short passage with a link back. You may not reproduce the photographs or the logo, or republish whole sections, without written permission from the office.
Material brand names mentioned on the site belong to their makers. Naming a product we install is a description of a material choice. It is not a claim of any certification, partnership or endorsement from that manufacturer.
Workmanship and manufacturer warranties
Two different warranties cover a roof, and people mix them up constantly. Here is how each one works with us.
Our workmanship warranty
It covers the installation: how the decking was fastened, how the underlayment was lapped, whether the shingles, panels or tiles were set to spec, and every piece of flashing we bent and fitted. The length of the warranty, what it covers and what voids it are written into each signed contract. Not on this website. Different roofs get different terms. A full tear-off with new shop-bent metal at every wall is not the same job as patching one valley on a 1990s roof, and the paperwork says so.
The term runs from the date of the final walk, the day we sweep the yard with magnets and go over the roof with you. To use it, call or email with the address and a description of what the roof is doing. We come out, look, and tell you in writing whether it is ours.
Things the workmanship warranty does not cover, and every contract says so plainly: hail, wind and falling limbs, which are your insurer's; damage from other trades walking or cutting the roof after us, such as a satellite installer or a solar crew; and work on parts of the roof we did not touch.
Manufacturer warranties
Shingles, membranes, metal coil and underlayments carry their maker's own warranty. We pass that warranty through to you exactly as the manufacturer writes it. We do not extend it, shorten it or reword it, and we cannot promise anything on a manufacturer's behalf. Where a product needs registering, we tell you how, or register it if the contract says we will. Manufacturer terms often depend on correct installation and ventilation, which is one more reason we will not lay a new roof over an old one.
What the site does not promise
The website is provided as is. We keep it accurate and fix mistakes when we find them, but we do not warrant that every figure on every page is current on the day you read it. Lead times on metal coil and tile move with the supply yards. Weights per square vary by product. The signed contract and the material on the truck are what count.
We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption, or free of errors, or that a form submission will always reach us. If you have not heard back about an urgent leak, call 214-646-6625. The website disclaimers here do not touch the warranty written into a signed roofing contract, which stands on its own terms.
The limit of our liability for the website
To the extent Texas law allows, Knox Roofing is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on general information on this website rather than an inspection of your own roof, from a message that did not arrive, or from the site being down. The site is free to use, and our total liability arising from your use of it is limited to one hundred US dollars.
Liability for roofing work is a different matter. It is governed by the signed contract and by Texas law, not by this page, and nothing here limits a right you have under that contract or under law that cannot be waived.
When we can refuse or withdraw access
We can block an address, close a chat thread or discard form submissions without notice where someone breaks section 06: spam, abuse, impersonation, attacks on the server. We can also take the site or any page down for maintenance or for good. Withdrawing website access does not cancel a signed roofing contract; that ends only under its own terms.
How long we keep what you send, and request timelines
These periods are fixed. Inquiries from the form and the email copies of them: 18 months. Chat transcripts: 18 months. Server and access logs: 60 days. The record of your cookie choice: 6 months. After those dates the records are deleted.
Ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you and we answer within 14 days. Use the data request route or email [email protected]. Signed contracts, invoices and warranty records for completed jobs are kept separately, for as long as the warranty in that contract runs, because you will want them if a seam ever lets go. Details of what is collected are in the privacy policy, and storage in your browser is covered in the cookie policy.
Governing law and where disputes go
These terms run under the law of the State of Texas, United States. Any dispute about them, or about your use of this site, is heard in the courts of Dallas. Before anybody files anything, call the office. Most disagreements about a roof get settled on the roof.
How a change is announced
When we change these terms, the new version goes up on this page and the "last amended" date at the top and on the rail changes with it. A change applies from that date to anyone using the site afterwards. It never reaches back into a contract already signed; that contract keeps the terms it was signed under.
Questions about these terms
Write to Knox Roofing, 9659 Wendell Rd, Dallas, Texas 75243, United States. Email [email protected], or call 214-646-6625. Put "terms" in the subject line and it gets to the right desk.
If what you actually need is somebody to look at a leak, skip the paperwork.
